Performance Systems Integration to Merge with Summit Fire & Security
Performance Systems Integration (PSI), the leading regional provider of fire and life safety services in the Pacific Northwest, is planning to merge with Summit Fire & Security LLC, a subsidiary of SFP Holding, Inc. (Summit Companies), pending final regulatory approval.
This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone for both organizations and promises greater value for customers, expanded opportunities for employees, and continued innovation in the fire and life safety industry.
Backed by investments from The Riverside Company, PSI has grown into the largest life safety provider in the Pacific Northwest, serving customers across Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Idaho, and Hawaii. PSI specializes in comprehensive fire and life safety solutions—including inspections, repairs, monitoring, and installation services for sprinkler, fire alarm, and suppression systems.
Summit Fire & Security, headquartered in Reno, Nevada, brings a strong national footprint and deep technical expertise. With shared values around safety, service excellence, and community impact, Summit is a natural partner to support PSI’s continued growth. Together, the companies will combine resources, talent, and technology to deliver even higher levels of service and responsiveness.
“It’s been an honor for PSI to serve our customers for over 23 years,” said PSI CEO Jodi Kohler. “As we move forward with Summit, we’re bringing our nearly 500 employees into a stronger, more capable organization—empowered with more tools, resources, and training to better serve our customers and communities.”
“From our first meeting with Jodi Kohler, Nikki Fisher, and the PSI leadership team, we recognized the cultural alignment and relentless focus on their customers and employees. Summit is committed to investing in strong, customer-focused businesses that align with our values and vision, and PSI is no exception,” said Jeff Evrard, CEO of Summit Companies.
For customers, the merger ensures even more robust service capabilities, faster response times, and access to a broader network of certified technicians. PSI’s commitment to providing a single point of management and NFPA-compliant solutions remains unchanged, with added support from Summit’s expansive operational infrastructure.
Employees across PSI will benefit from expanded career development and enhanced support systems. As part of Summit, PSI team members will continue their mission-driven work while helping shape the future of fire protection in their communities.
This merger further underscores Summit’s commitment to partnering with high-quality, customer-focused businesses in the fire and life safety industry. Together, PSI and Summit will deliver scalable fire protection solutions, building on a legacy of trust and a shared commitment to saving lives.
