What is the NFPA?
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) was founded in 1896 to help prevent injury, death, and economic losses from fires. Today, NFPA is a global nonprofit organization with a membership of over 60,000 worldwide. NFPA’s consensus standards and building codes are a benchmark for quality fire safety construction practices.
In addition to its standard-setting work, NFPA also serves the public with information, advocacy, and outreach programs designed to emphasize a safety mindset in every stage of construction, equipment, and occupation of commercial and residential buildings. This includes information and emergency planning for wildfires; child and elder fire safety education; and advocacy within local, state, and federal building code enforcement organizations to adopt codes that help preserve lives and property.

PSI and the NFPA
Performance Systems Integration (PSI) is proud to design, inspect, and install life safety and fire suppression systems that meet or exceed the stringent requirements of NFPA, as well as other regulatory and standard-setting bodies, both private and public. At PSI, our NICET-certified and factory-trained technicians understand the intricacies of all the NFPA, state, and local codes to deliver a fully compliant fire suppression system plan.
We also aim to educate our clients about how and why these codes and specifications can affect both new construction and existing designs. Within certain limitations, we can offer informed speculation as to how future codes may change and evolve, allowing us to design systems that are more likely to stay in compliance and therefore reduce anticipated retrofitting costs over time.
When our team services your systems, you can rest comfortably knowing that your systems will deliver dependable life-saving performance. Contact Performance Systems Integration today to learn more.
