Position: Fire Alarm Technician

Description:  Install, inspect and program EST and/or DMP Fire Alarm Systems.

Requirements: Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections and installations. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics and operational/product manuals. Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer specifications. Manager inspection issues on-site to ensure fiscal requirements are met. Evaluate and diagnose equipment that requires servicing as well as troubleshoot problems. Provide specific solutions and recommendations to customers on the most efficient and cost effective methods to return equipment to working order.


Preferred Selection: Experience in EST and/or DMP Fire Systems. Experience in Access Control and CCTV Systems an asset . Ability to manage large projects accurately and efficiently. Ability to adapt to changing customer needs. Ability to read architectural and electrical drawings. Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary system repairs. Ability to identify and sell basic product enhancements to customers. Ability to demonstrate a high level of customer service. A valid motor vehicle license is required with annual abstract to maintain eligibility. Demonstrates basic knowledge of electricity/electronics.
